OVER KEDRON JESUS TRAEDER

OVER KEDRON JESUS TRAEDER is a hymn tune in 8.7.8.7.7.7.8.8, composed by Ludvig Mathias Lindeman (1812–1887). In a hymnal the tune has a name of its own, printed in capitals, because the same music carries many texts: any hymn written in its meter can be sung to it.

2 hymns in this library share its meter and can be sung to it.

The four-part harmony played here comes from the Open Hymnal Project's public-domain edition (copied from "The Lutheran Hymnary", 1913 Hymn 302. Most sources give translation date of 1880, but translation found in "The Living Age" Fourth Series Vol. 1, Page 746, 1866, referenced as trans. by Rev. J. Jeffrey.).
