Hymn tune
MEINEN JESUM LASS' ICH NICHT (DARMSTADT)
MEINEN JESUM LASS' ICH NICHT (DARMSTADT) is a hymn tune in 7.8.7.8.7.7, credited to 1699 from Neu-verfertigtes Darmstädtiches Gesang-Buch (1699). In a hymnal the tune has a name of its own, printed in capitals, because the same music carries many texts: any hymn written in its meter can be sung to it.
2 hymns in this library share its meter and can be sung to it.
The four-part harmony played here comes from the Open Hymnal Project's public-domain edition (copied from "Mehrstimmiges ChoralBuch", 1906 Hymn #124 Ed. Karl Brauer. Text source: The Lutheran Hymnary, 1913.).
