Hymn tune
ES IST KEIN TAG
ES IST KEIN TAG is a hymn tune in 8.8.8.4, composed by Johann D. Meyer (1636–1696) (1692). In a hymnal the tune has a name of its own, printed in capitals, because the same music carries many texts: any hymn written in its meter can be sung to it.
In this library it is the tune for 1 hymn, listed below, and 5 more texts in the same meter can be sung to it.
The four-part harmony played here comes from the Open Hymnal Project's public-domain edition (copied from The English Hymnal, 1906 Hymn 521.).
