Come, Holy Ghost, our hearts inspire;
Let us thine influence prove;
Source of the old prophetic fire,
Fountain of life and love.
Water with heavenly dew thy word,
In this appointed hour;
Attend it with thy presence, Lord,
And bid it come with power.
Open the hearts of them that hear,
To make the Saviour room,
Now let us find redemption near;
Let faith by hearing come.
