About Bible Trivia
The Bible Trivia Quiz is a free, browser-based Christian knowledge game featuring over 150 questions drawn from across the whole of Scripture — from the opening verse of Genesis to the final chapter of Revelation. Every question is verified against the biblical text, and every answer comes with a detailed explanation and a precise scripture reference so you can learn while you play.
Six categories cover the full sweep of the Bible: Old Testament history and wisdom, New Testament letters and Acts, the four Gospels through the Life of Jesus, the poetry of Psalms and Proverbs, Prophecy and Revelation, and the People and Places of Scripture. Three difficulty levels — easy, medium, and hard — mean the quiz grows with you, whether you are a curious beginner or a seasoned Bible student.

What are the five game modes?+
Quick Play gives you 10 balanced questions in under 5 minutes. Category mode focuses on one topic. Difficulty Run is a progressive challenge from easy to hard. Daily Challenge presents the same set to every player worldwide each day. Custom mode lets you pick your own category, difficulty, and question count.
How do lifelines work?+
Each game gives you three one-use lifelines: Scripture Hint reveals the Bible book and chapter where the answer is found; Remove Two Wrong Answers eliminates two incorrect options from the four choices; and Add Time adds 15 seconds to the countdown. Choose your moment carefully — each lifeline can only be used once per game.
How does the scoring and streak system work?+
Answering quickly earns 100 points; slower answers earn 70 or 50 depending on how much time remains. A streak multiplier rewards consistency — 1.1× for a 2-answer streak, 1.2× for 3, and 1.5× for 5 or more correct answers in a row. Your score, accuracy, and streak are saved to a local leaderboard.
Is this quiz appropriate for children and Sunday school?+
Yes. The Easy difficulty uses only the most well-known Biblical facts and stories, making it accessible and enjoyable for children from around age 8 upwards. The Quick Play mode in Easy difficulty is ideal for younger learners. Many teachers use it for warm-up activities in Sunday school, midweek clubs, or family devotions.
Does every question have an explanation?+
Yes — every single question includes a concise explanation showing why the correct answer is right, providing additional Biblical context, and citing the exact scripture reference. Reading the explanation is half the learning, and you can revisit all your answers in the review screen at the end of each game.
